To Help Glaciers With The Colour Blue

"To Help Glaciers With The Colour Blue” is a work in which I research the melting of glaciers due to global warming through photography and art. To prevent glaciers from melting, geotextile canvases are placed over the glaciers and the surrounding snow. These textiles ensure that the cold remains trapped under the canvas and the sunlight is reflected above the canvas.

For this project I explored different Swiss glaciers by foot and made art together with the Sankt Annafirn glacier in Andermatt, Switzerland. With this work I try to protect nature with cyanotype canvases, and at the same time let nature create art by itself through this method. The result of this process is a canvas that shows an entire landscape in an abstract way.
